04/30

This first trade set up is a clear example of what not to do... Jump in the markets just because you want..

First you need to make sure you're watching the price action for a while, it is like a surfer who watches the beach, the break zones, observes the current, stretches and only then goes into the water.

I remember clearly this time in Santa Catarina, Brazil, when I got the board and dove in the water.. It was a new beach, the water was choppy, the waves were big and I had no clue about the currents... Didn't stretch, so guess what I got? My right leg cramped so much I could not swim, had to float and hope I'd go back to shore... With the analogy, this trade bellow blew me out of the water right away.

Got back in the swing, played a few small trades, was very careful with my stops and quick to cover as the market was choppy.
Once I noticed this trade wasn't going anywhere, I pushed my stop to get me out with a tiny profit. If I didn't cover the market would hit my stop for a loss.
Second entry on the same spot, this time it cleared the previous high, but failed before expected, once again, I had moved my stop up to cover with small profits.
Placed this trade at the end of the day, once again, wasn't watching the market closely. I had a feeling the sell off would continue, once the market bounced around I exited for a tiny profit again. As it turns out, the market hit the target and then some.

4/29 Day Trading

This was a great intra-day session. It all bogs down to having a clearly defined trading strategy. Knowing when to enter, where your target, stops and TTN levels are. Then having the conviction to execute the trades.

Most important: Volume.. Need to have enough volume in the markets for the set-ups to work in the fast manner I like.

0643 Closed ES trade

Stayed in the trade, the 0635 candle provided a safer short entry, trade worked out.

0635 Sold ES

0630 Pulling back to 13 EMA

The red candle is a forming candle, no clear set-up yet. The pull back to 13 EMA can be just a catch of breath, or a reversal to 21 SMA. Will keep watching

0610 - Waitting for Pull back

/ES showing signs it needs to take a breather, waitting for a pull back before any continuation to the up-side.

Today's bias is bullish, let's see and wait for confirmation on the charts.
